Installing solar power to your home is not cheap at all, infect they can be pretty expensive which would probably turn you away from installing a solar power system for your home. Next time you are on the road and when you see road construction jot down the name of the construction company. Be careful do not stop on the side of the highway just to jot down a name and number, this can be dangerous and in some areas illegal. If you cannot find construction companies than simply open up your yellow pages or phone directory and contact construction companies. Ask them if they use solar power hardware for their equipment or find out who is their solar power provider. That way if you find the provider, than you ask the provider who are their clients (which I highly doubt they will give you, but hey it’s worth a try).

2. Visit Them

I am sure you will not be able to convince someone over the phone to sell or give you expensive used solar panels. You should try to visit them in person, go to the maintenance department and find out who is in charge to sell or give you the used solar panels. Be aware that they are very busy, so don’t try to create a relationship with them, just simply offer them to pay for their chipped, cracked, used solar panels. They will appreciate you trying to help them out by purchasing the solar panels from them rather than the companies using their own money to dispose of them.

Once you end up finding a source that’s willing to give you a solar power hardware or sell it to you, than it would be smart to test out their panels to see if it does produce electricity. Buy or burrow a multimeter that you can use to measure amps and watts. Test the used solar panels to see if it produces electricity, that way you will be saving your time, and money from investing into a poor solar panel.
